On the latest episode of her Power Women podcast, Schneps Media President and Publisher Victoria Schneps sits down with Fradel Barber, CEO of World Financial Group.
Barber offers advice on investing – don’t make an emotional decision, she says. She also talks about growing up in and breaking free from a Hasidic community in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and how her large family helped her learn the value of teamwork.
“It’s one thing to be able to lead people,” said Barber. “It’s another to be able to lead leaders. And that’s where it takes a life of its own, where now you can enable other people to also share in that success with you.”
Barber explains that she never planned on working in the male-dominated financial industry, in which had no experience.
“When I first started, I was very intimidated by the whole financial services and dealing with people’s money,” Barber said.
But after working her way up, and carving out a space for other women like her, Barber can’t see her life working out in any other way.
“I love what I do,” said Barber. “It brings me joy every day.”
