Andrew Belinfante and Emil Cohen, Thank You For Coming Out (While Staying In)

In this week’s episode of the Gay City News podcast “Thank You For Coming Out,” creator and host Dubbs Weinblatt (they/ them) welcomes  Andrew Belinfante (he/him) and Emil Cohen (he/him).

Andrew is a community builder and activist living in New York City. As the Senior Director of Programs and Organizational Development at JDC Entwine, he travels the world connecting global Jews and building awareness around humanitarian aid and disaster relief work.Growing up with Type 1 Diabetes and an LGBTQ+ identity pushed Andrew to center the voices of the most marginalized and vulnerable in society and he has dedicated his work towards how we can better expand, and make more inclusive, the communities we live in.

Emil is a New York-based artist. Born and raised in Canada and the United States, Emil holds an MFA in fine arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston at Tufts University. His photographs have been featured in exhibitions across the United States, and most recently, Emil was named by Logo TV as one of their 2022 Logo30 Honorees. His work has been published in The New York Times, Times Square, Rolling Stone Magazine and many more. He is a proud New York, Queer, Jew.
